Embrace The Aging Process, Treat Yourself

I believe that a person can be wearing the finest clothing, hair did, nails did, everything did---But still lack the most attractive thing. Confidence. There is nothing more attractive than a person who is confident. With social media and the current world that we live in, that almost seems hard to grasp when comparing yourself to others and self-esteem become an issue.

In a consumer culture, confidence isn’t something we’re allowed to produce of our own volition. We have to buy the brand of confidence that’s bottled and distributed by a multi-billion dollar beauty industry that preys on our insecurities. That’s not to say that buying and owning beauty products and cosmetics can’t be fun or empowering… Just so long as you’re doing it for the right reasons. You should buy these products because you want them and not because you feel that you need them.

In an age where we’re all obsessed with youth and beauty, it’s important to remember that while you can’t bottle water from the fountain of youth, mother nature has left droplets of it all over the world in the plants that we consume on a regular basis. Of course, there’s an argument for growing old gracefully, just as many women around the world have found empowerment in turning to cosmetic procedures. If you feel empowered by a breast augmentation or a tummy tuck then you should wear it with pride. If, however, you want to prolong your youthful beauty by natural means, you may find it easier than you dared dream to beat the aging process by living well…

Water water everywhere… So stop drinking soda!

I remember when I used to love SPRITE soda! That was my water once upon a time. I saw what it was doing to my skin--breakouts, eh! I will drink a ginger ale every now and then, but water is my key! 

We all appreciate the importance of hydrating our skin. We know that it not only helps to keep our skin looking healthy, glowing and even-toned but makes it more resilient to damage from the sun and other environmental aggressors. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to spend a fortune on expensive moisturizing lotions. Drinking lots of water can make your skin look fuller and more youthful even reducing the appearance of fine lines, expression lines, and wrinkles.

 

Can’t 'weight' to feel younger

Most of us understand that a healthy heart is important for a healthy body which is why you'll notice that as we get older, we're more eager to workout and jump on that treadmill to give our hearts a good workout to our favorite songs. Strength training is also important to keep yourself looking and feeling youthful. Strengthening the muscles around your joints will also keep them flexible, mobile, strong and limber, preventing the stiffness and immobility that come with aging. I feel it now!

 

Fight the aging process from within

No matter how much you spend on your skincare regimen, you can only do so much on a poor diet. Eating these foods, on the other hand, can naturally help your skin to retain its moisture and firmness...

Carrots and sweet potatoes- These tasty tubers are full of beta-carotene, which encourages the production of healthy skin cells while wiping out the free radicals that cause sun damage.

Don't stop the aging process, but let it happen gracefully and beautifully!
